Milan Records Releases ‘Citadel: Diana’, Prime Video Original Series Soundtrack

Milan Records has released the official soundtrack for ‘Citadel: Diana‘, the new Italian series produced by Cattleya – part of ITV Studios – and Amazon MGM Studios, with executive production by Fratelli Russo‘s AGBO. The series is part of the ‘Citadel‘ universe, a global spy saga. The album, now available worldwide, features original music by the Italian band Mokadelic, who created the soundscape for the series.

With 26 tracks reflecting the atmosphere of a futuristic Italy, the soundtrack blends post-rock tones with tension and mystery, emphasizing the project’s Italian roots. Mokadelic, already known for their work on shows like ‘Gomorra’, brings a recognizable and immersive sonic identity to the production. Enhancing the soundtrack further is an exclusive collaboration with the British electro-pop band London Grammar.

Their single ‘Strong (Citadel Remix – Amazon Music Original)’, an unreleased new version of their 2013 hit, was created specifically for ‘Citadel: Diana’ and is available exclusively on Amazon Music. A Journey into Milan 2030 ‘Citadel: Diana’ is set in a futuristic Milan in 2030. The story follows Diana Cavalieri (played by Matilda De Angelis), a Citadel agent living undercover after the agency’s destruction by its rival, Manticore. Diana has operated as an infiltrator within the enemy organization for eight years. Still, now she faces a difficult choice: disappear forever or ally with Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the son of Manticore Italia’s leader, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi).

The suspenseful plot revolves around the power struggle among European crime families and Diana’s efforts to free herself from her dangerous situation. The series, directed by Arnaldo Catinari, was developed by Alessandro Fabbri, who led a team of writers including Ilaria Bernardini, Gianluca Bernardini, Laura Colella, and Giordana Mari.

Produced by Cattleya, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the series features an exceptional group of executive producers, including Gina Gardini (showrunner), Riccardo Tozzi, Marco Chimenz, Giovanni Stabilini, and Emanuele Savoini. ‘Citadel: Diana’ represents the second chapter of the ambitious ”Citadel project, a collection of interconnected spy series set in different countries around the world. Under the Russo Brothers’ creative leadership and AGBO’s involvement, Citadel aims to redefine the spy genre on a global scale, combining local productions with an international scope. It is now available on all major music streaming platforms.
